About the Project

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer with strong architecture skills, who will also play a key role in collaborating with business stakeholders and supporting the due diligence process for a strategic platform transformation.

The goal is to replace a complex and incomplete legacy system with a modern, clean REST API layer that integrates with Palantir Foundry.

Beyond implementation, you will actively contribute to architectural decisions, validate design assumptions with business stakeholders, and ensure that the system meets both functional and strategic objectives.

This is an opportunity to co-shape the architecture and business alignment before the first production release, and to take part in a long-term modernization effort.

Responsibilities

Act as a senior engineer and architectural partner, helping shape the system design and technical roadmap
Participate in due diligence activities, validating requirements and aligning technical solutions with business needs
Design and build REST APIs in Java that act as a bridge between an orchestration application and Palantir Foundry
Collaborate with platform engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to define scalable data access and integration patterns
Work with SDKs (not just REST APIs) to interact with Palantir's backend
Ensure clean code practices and architecture-first design from the start

Requirements

7+ years of experience in Java backend development
Proven experience in system and API architecture design
Experience in working closely with business teams
Familiarity with domain-driven design
Experience working with SDKs or platform-specific APIs
Technical education (engineering degree or equivalent in IT, computer science, or related field)

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Palantir Foundry
Background in data modeling – logical and physical
Understanding of TMF (TeleManagement Forum) specifications
Experience with platform-based development environments (e.g., Salesforce, Mendix, OutSystems)
Familiarity with API security (OAuth 2.0, tokens)
