Project
You will be involved in a financial project focused on building scalable, event-driven data services and integrating high-volume streaming pipelines with Snowflake to support real-time processing, analytics, and business-critical decision workflows.
Responsibilities you'll have
- Design, develop, and maintain data-intensive, event-driven services using Java and Kafka
- Build and enhance microservices architectures, ensuring scalability, resilience, and observability
- Implement real-time data pipelines and integrations with Snowflake and other cloud-based systems
- Follow best engineering practices including SOLID, clean code, and automated testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver high-impact features on time
- Ensure proper data security, including OAuth/JWT authentication and secure service-to-service communication
- Apply domain-driven design principles (DDD, ports & adapters / hexagonal / clean architecture)
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to performance tuning
- Work in an Agile environment with strong ownership and focus on delivery quality
Expected competences and knowledge
- Strong, senior-level experience in Java, ideally 10+ years.
- Solid expertise in Kafka, preferably 5+ years.
- Senior-level proficiency with Kubernetes.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with large datasets.
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on work with Snowflake. (nice to have)
- Practical experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
- Understanding of reactive programming concepts.
- Hands-on experience building microservices architectures.
- Good command of SOLID principles and common design patterns.
- Familiarity with DDD, hexagonal, or clean architecture.
- Knowledge of OAuth, JWT, and related security mechanisms.
- Fluency in English for everyday communication.
- Experience with Angular is considered a plus.
