Python Backend Developer

We’re looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that power our platform. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to implement business logic, integrate third-party services, and ensure smooth system operations in a cloud-native environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop containerized microservices using Django/FastAPI or .NET Core

• Implement complex business logic for listings, matching algorithms, and trust scoring

• Design and optimize database schemas (Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)

• Build payment orchestration services integrated with Stripe Connect

• Implement authentication and authorization using AWS Cognito or Auth0

• Develop and maintain APIs for real-time messaging, notifications, and group features

• Ensure PCI compliance and follow security best practices

• Develop an integration framework for Property Management Systems (PMS)

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in backend development

• Strong proficiency in Python (Django/FastAPI)

• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Aurora, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS)

• Proficiency with containerization and Kubernetes

• Knowledge of payment processing and PCI compliance standards

• Solid understanding of API design and RESTful principles

• Experience with database optimization and caching strategies

Nice to Have:

• Experience integrating Property Management Systems (PMS)

• Background in FinTech or payment platforms

• Familiarity with AI/ML for matching algorithms

• Experience with event-driven architectures
