Summary: The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining digital products, utilising agile practices to deliver value to users and the organisation. This role focuses on building next-generation digital architecture and solving business challenges through innovative technology solutions.

Other Details:

Team Structure: Engage with diverse stakeholders, including Product Owners and external consultants.
Education: BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
Experience: 5+ years in backend development, particularly with Python and AWS.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, maintain, and improve end-to-end product data ingestion, output, and visualisation.
Build, deploy, and maintain digital products with a focus on continuous delivery.
Utilise agile engineering practices and software development tools to create efficient solutions.
Engage with the team and stakeholders to address and resolve technical issues.
Shape and implement technology and business solutions for value delivery.
Develop innovative digital products addressing business pains.
Explore and integrate new technologies into the current tech stack.
Collaborate on user stories, tests, and continuous product improvement.
Understand users in the Line of Business to create effective digital products.
Perform data wrangling: ingestion, integration, and curation from various sources in a regulated environment.

Key Requirements:

5+ years' experience in backend development using Python and AWS services.
Strong knowledge of architectural design, AWS infrastructure, and DevOps practices.
Experience in creating RESTful APIs using frameworks like Flask.
Familiar with Agile/SCRUM, TDD, and DDD methodologies.
Proficiency in PostgreSQL for complex queries and performance tuning.
