  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
  • Experience in an environment working with hardware and software.
  • Experience in understanding customer needs and advocating for technical solutions.
  • Knowledge in hybrid networking technologies such as VPN, Interconnect, SD-WAN, and network security.

As the Technical Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how organizations seamlessly and securely connect their environments. You will lead cross-functional initiatives that enhance connectivity between customer on-premises infrastructure, other cloud providers, and the Google Cloud Platform. You will be responsible for driving technical programs from conception through launch.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage roadmaps, track progress, and mitigate technical risks and dependencies across multiple engineering and product teams, leveraging knowledge of networking and cloud architectures.
  • Analyze and improve program management workflows, identify and eliminate issues, and implement best practices to enhance team productivity and velocity.
  • Facilitate clear and timely technical decision-making by bringing together the right engineering stakeholders, defining clear accountabilities, and ensuring alignment across engineering, product management, and other functional groups, grounded in a solid understanding of technical trade-offs.
  • Contribute to programs focused on enhancing the reliability, scalability, and performance with knowledge of distributed systems, network protocols, and infrastructure design to ensure services meet the demanding needs of global enterprises.
  • Influence product and engineering roadmaps and align efforts with customer needs to define the future direction of hybrid networking at Google Cloud.
