Technical support for a technology company is a big task. As the Corporate Operations Engineer within the IT Support Technician team, your mission is to enable the people and technology that keep Google running. Your team provides the front line user support for all of our internal tools and technologies. Beyond the day-to-day, the team will contribute to longer-term technical projects, process improvement and the documentation efforts that help make the Google magic happen.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000-$166,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage a heterogeneous fleet of servers (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu and operating system server 2016/2019/2022/2025). Perform advanced troubleshooting on kernel panics, memory leaks, and I/O bottleneck.
  • Architect and support Google Cloud Platform resources (compute engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), cloud storage).
  • Lead the transition from manual configuration to infrastructure as code. Integrate ansible workflows with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., jenkins or cloud build) to automate the testing and deployment of infrastructure changes.
  • Manage and troubleshoot synchronization between multiple identity providers, including bridging active directory, lightweight directory access protocol/red hat identity management and Google Cloud identity.
