Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of facilities with medium voltage and low voltage electrical distribution systems.
  • Experience with data center equipment/environments (e.g., switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, etc.).
  • Experience managing teams to deliver industrial-type capital projects, including engineering, construction management, and project controls.
  • Understanding of start-up/commissioning processes.

As Google expands its global infrastructure, we're searching for a driven and detail-oriented Campus Lead to join our Data Center Construction team on the delivery of a campus in San Antonio TX metro.

In this role, you will manage various aspects of data center projects, from initial concept and design through to construction and deployment. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget while meeting our high standards for quality and efficiency. You are passionate about technology and construction, and will have valuable experience in a changing, innovative environment. Additionally, you will have experience with Build to Suit Shells, third-party data center delivery, and the complexity of handoffs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple data center projects from inception to completion, overseeing all phases, including concept development, design, construction, and deployment.
  • Gather and analyze internal requirements, translating them into effective solutions that meet the needs of our data center operations teams.
  • Work effectively within a cross-functional organization, collaborating with cross-functional partners, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and opportunities clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Analyze and evaluate complex construction challenges, developing creative solutions that minimize impact on project timelines and costs.
