Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical roles.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, 0 to 1, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with marketplaces or at-scale Machine Learning and smart bidding products.
  • Experience working with and leading highly technical teams to investigate and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills (SQL) and the ability to leverage data to make informed product decisions.

The YouTube Ads Marketplace Optimization team's mission is to grow long-term business by solving exciting problems related to automated bidding and machine learning, and by investing in a privacy-safe and extensible goals and infrastructure platform. This role will focus on exciting machine learning, personalized recommendations, and bidding problems, powering ads across all YouTube surfaces.

As a Product Manager for YouTube Ads, you will help businesses that utilize search, display, and video campaigns across Google and its advertising network to sustain content and perspectives on the web, thereby helping to keep the web universally accessible and free. You will be constantly exploring and applying technologies to help publishers generate their content and advertisers acquire engaged users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop deep insights of advertiser and user behavior on YouTube.
  • Define and execute a comprehensive strategy for improving bidding algorithms, machine learning models, and optimizing the YouTube Ads marketplace to drive long-term advertiser value and business.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Data Science teams, solving complex technical challenges in our prediction and bidding stack.
  • Collaborate effectively with Business and Sales teams to take products to market.
  • Develop internal and external sales narratives, and manage the product lifecycle from proof-of-concept, to launch, to advertiser activation and scaling adoption.
