Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Operations Research.
  • 10 years of experience in a systems design/development, hardware product design/development or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience across all phases of a product from prototype to mass production to end of life.
  • Experience leading cross-functional process improvements, using excellent investigative and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and implement processes and manage strategic and operational initiatives, with excellent problem-solving skills and business acumen.
  • Ability to customize communications based on the audience, and collaborate and influence across multiple levels of an organization.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Product Operations Transformation and Strategy team leads strategic initiatives that transforms data center hardware NPI deployment processes and machine quality to drive time-to-market acceleration and reduce overall deployment and operational service costs. As Google Cloud continues to scale, this team’s work will contribute to the ongoing product, process and capability growth to ensure Google can continue to meet market and goals.

As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project life-cycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and you will keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive NPI deployment and quality transformation strategies for large-scale initiatives, including cost reduction, deployment velocity and first pass yields.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and project teams to integrate machine deployment improvement activities into program roadmaps.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness and business impact of strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advocate change management for its integration into Hardware deployment and quality transformation.
