Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and working with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • Experience working on Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), Deep Learning.

Search Keywordless and Shopping Targeting teams’ mission is to build retrieval and targeting models that power multiple Google Ads products including Dynamic Search Ads (DSA), AI Max, Shopping Ads and so on.

In this role, you will deliver relevant ads to users with minimal effort from advertisers. You will leverage machine learning, big data infrastructure and analysis, and core retrieval technologies to build this end-to-end year product. The team works closely with almost all parts of the Ads stack such as Bidding, Creatives/Formats, Keyword (KW) Targeting to name a few and this enables us to take up research projects that make the foundation for the next generation of Ad Tech.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build large-scale Machine Learning (ML) systems.
  • Possess knowledge of ML models/algorithm design and implementation and their application to real-world problems.
  • Manage full-stack backend software development and implement sustainable, well-designed systems and data pipelines, with production launch/impact.
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, data scientists etc.
  • Communicate about ML technology, Targeting, Ads systems design and implementation.
