About the job

Our Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. Security Engineers work with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions. In this role, you will also work with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.

The Application, Infrastructure, and Services Security team secures user experiences for over one billion users. We ensure the clients and backends are secure for Android OEMs, as well as popular Google products such as Pixel, Fitbit, and Google Fi.

In this role, you will be a trusted partner with one of our product teams, helping to secure their existing products and ensuring new products are developed with security in mind. You will work directly with software engineers, hardware engineers, product managers, and UX researchers to identify and resolve security issues. This will involve static and dynamic code analysis, application engagement testing, and design review.

Your security reviews will uncover bugs, and we encourage exploit development to demonstrate the impact of a vulnerability. We also go a step further and develop individual or systemic fixes to common vulnerability patterns. You will also partner with other security teams, including privacy engineers, software engineers, and researchers, to ensure our products are getting the best security the industry has to offer.
