Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience with Retail, Ads, Google Shopping, or Consumer Product Design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the Ads and Retail businesses (across end-consumers and advertiser needs) with strong consumer product intuition.
  • Ability to absorb and quickly improve an idea or process.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends.

As a Product Manager for the Retail Ads team, you will focus on empowering businesses in the retail ecosystem to successfully achieve their marketing goals through advertising with Google, while creating compelling, relevant consumer experiences in shopping on Search. The Retail Ads - Consumer Experiences team specifically focuses on these shopping experiences, that billions of users engage with, and continuously innovates on formats, whole page experiences, and content to help shoppers meet their goals effectively.

Within the Retail Consumer team, you will lead key aspects of the strategy and key initiatives related to the modernization of Shopping Ads experiences, formats and frameworks, with a goal to increase user and advertiser value.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop the overall strategy for their area on how to drive consumers, advertisers and Google value in Retail Ads, by reimagining the shopping experience with Ads.
  • Translate strategy into clear, compelling initiatives and an actionable roadmap, and secure buy-in and approvals from the broader Ads and Partner organizations.
  • Understand user needs, quality of experience, and metrics, and rapidly, creatively problem-solve and adjust products based on learnings.
  • Collaborate with the broader Ads organization, and organic counterparts to ensure we are building and delivering a holistic, cohesive shopping experience for our users.
