Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX for consumer-facing products (B2C).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
  • Experience with industry standard design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVisio, Figma, Principle, etc.).
  • Experience implementing visual design systems across platforms in an iterative software development environment, applying design tools (e.g., Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch).
  • Deep understanding of visual foundations and systems.

As a Designer on the Visual Craft and Systems team, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences —from concept to execution. You will also focus on elevating the visual craft across key AI product experiences in Search by designing elegant systems that scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $151,000-$222,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop systems, components, and patterns that elevate emerging product experiences.
  • Drive the development of innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems.
  • Drive design solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that further business outcomes.
  • Influence stakeholders across functions to gain support for design strategies.
  • Provide feedback and critique to designers in creating design concepts for product ideation or user research/testing with the intention of holding a high quality and coherence bar.
