Senior UX Engineer, Playspace Labs

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 6 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
  
• Experience in application development in at least one platform/area (e.g., web, Android, CompDes, extended reality).
• Experience with React.js, Figma, JavaScript

Preferred qualifications:

• 7 years of experience developing responsive, adaptive, and performant websites and applications.
  
• 6 years of experience as a front-end developer, UX Engineer, creative or design technologist, or in a prototyping design environment.
  
• Experience working with AI, intelligent assistants, generative language, or image models.
• Ability to design for emerging tech, new paradigms, and establish new principles and patterns.

The Playspace team is a cross-functional team exploring the implications of AI for Google’s products and services. The team designs and develops solutions that integrate generative AI into Google Workspace, transforming the way individuals and teams work.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $151,000-$222,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Craft the full spectrum of UX design artifacts from concept to detailed design development (e.g., concept sketches, detailed mockups, UX flows, interaction design).
• Work with Playspace engineers to craft design solutions that leverage the tech platforms the team is working with.
• Contribute to early product framing.
