  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • Experience working with advertising platforms.

As a part of the Growth Planner Infrastructure and Logic team, you will own the backend for Growth Planner, a tool that holistically optimizes advertiser's entire ad campaigns across multiple Google Ads settings and features. In this role, you will build and maintain the backend that powers Sales investment pitches, serves as a planning in the Google Ads front-end, and enables other holistic optimizations across Google Ads.Google Ads is helping power the open internet with the best technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop new features including business logic, algorithms, and integration of models.
  • Improve infrastructure with a focus on scaling to manage advertisers.
  • Collaborate in product design and align with technical implementation.
  • Develop and maintain timelines, planning/prioritizing, and managing expectations.
  • Define the technical direction for the core Backend system and contribute to planning for the overall product.
