Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
3 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a PhD degree.
Preferred qualifications:
PhD degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, operations research, bioinformatics, economics, biostatistics, computer science, mathematics, physics etc).
Experience working on a consumer-facing product.
Experience with effective experimental design, training and in areas such as data analysis, survey design, statistical modeling.
Familiarity with statistical tools/software packages (e.g., Python, SQL etc.).
Ability to apply an appropriate quantitative/statistical model to real-world business problems.
Ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to a changing environment.

The mission of Search AI Mode Data Science team is to leverage data, measurement methodologies, analysis insights and modeling to help push the frontiers of Search in the context of latest GenAI capabilities and unlock new ways/use cases on how billions of users interact with Google search.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
