Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience in software engineering, with 3 years of experience in a people management role leading technical teams.
  • 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML techniques (e.g., Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision) into the software testing lifecycle.
  • Experience with Android OS and the challenges in quality assurance for consumer devices (e.g., Laptops, Tablets, or Mobile).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
  • Experience defining quality strategies for large-scale product launches.
  • Experience in test automation frameworks and their integration with modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or proprietary systems).
  • Knowledge of both hardware-software integration and the Android application ecosystem, and understanding of testing methodologies (Agile, Shift-Left, and continuous testing).
  • Ability to evaluate, select, and deploy AI-powered tools for tasks such as test case generation, predictive defect analysis, or automated failure classification.

In this role, you will focus on ensuring authoring tests and solutions for Laptops and Tablets (L&T) and Android platform developers in order to launch products with high quality. You will define and implement a strategy to use Generative AI and Machine Learning (ML) for test creation, maintenance, and defect prediction. You need to grow an innovative, and technically excellent organization. You are a collaborative and communicative technical leader who can translate organizational goals into an automated quality strategy, directly impacting the success of a major product line.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop a long-term strategy for leveraging Artificial Intelligence (e.g., LLMs, Generative AI) to author, maintain, and prioritize a full suite of Unit, end-to-end (E2E) and system-level tests for Android and Laptops and Tablets.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of Software Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Hardware Engineering, Software Development and partners to ensure testability is baked into the design process and to mitigate cross-functional and vendor dependencies.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient test automation frameworks.
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate quality risks related to new features, platform stability, and system interactions, providing data-driven recommendations to executive leadership.
