As a UX Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping AI-driven products, solutions, and assets through user-centered design. You’ll translate business requirements, technical constraints, and user feedback into intuitive, engaging experiences by working iteratively—from low-fidelity concepts to production-ready deliverables. Collaborating closely with engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders, you’ll craft interfaces and narratives that bring creative vision to life while ensuring functionality and usability. Through user research, prototyping, and testing, you’ll help integrate emerging AI technologies in ways that both delight users and keep our products innovative and competitive.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).
  • 2+ years experience collaborating with engineers and program managers to deliver interactive prototypes, user experience & UI designs, release ready product designs on-time and at quality.
  • 2+ years experience in design tools (e.g. Figma) and communication of design intent through clear documentation (user experience flows, personas, wireframes, specs).
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design OR Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).
  • 2+ years experience shipping products, services, or games and/or delivering to customers as a result of an end-to-end design process.

Product Design IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.

Responsibilities

Product Design 

  • Rapidly prototypeslow-fidelity to high-fidelity product conceptsto solve complex, high-priority businessReceivesfeedback and understandsuser needs.  
  • Creates wireframes, journey maps, user jobs and scenarios, task flows, and personas in support of interaction designs for hardware and/or software-based experiences. Conceptualizes and delivers artifacts at various levels of fidelity. Participates in the development and enhancement of product user experiences via creation of interaction models and detailed designs for new and existing product features while serving as a liaison between users and products. Ensures that the designs of the products allow the user to complete the desired scenarios in the best possible manner. 
  • Produces visual designs from concept to delivery. Facilitates the creative visual design process by producing the visual language for a cohesive set of products. Creates a variety of visual design documents including mood boards, storyboards, creative briefs, layouts, and redlines for a set of products, tools, and services. Advocates for and oversees brand adherence and promotion of inclusivity principles. 
  • Leverages ideation methodologies and generates ideation solutions to improve product design outcomes. Utilizes a variety of perspectives when ideating (e.g., business, experience, technology). Synthesizes ideation solutions into a concise articulation of user insights and subsequent solutions. Facilitates ideation exercise as part of a design sprint. 
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders (team, Engineering, PM, User Research, etc.) to successfully align design solutions to business, technical, and user requirements. Collaborates with Engineering to ensure implemented designs align to design specifications. Works with developers to iterate further on designs during implementation to ensure optimal designs. Develops an aptitude on limitations of what is implementable, and begins to challenge limitations. 
  • Estimates individual schedule(s) (e.g., time requirements) for work delivery. Identifies needs that are not spoken and includes them in end-to-end design plan and process.  
  • Collaborates with product owners and development team members to shepherd end-to-end experiences from concept to ship for products. Contributes to refinement of the design challenge. 

Design Components 

  • Uses a prescribed design system (e.g., content templates, icons, form design, user-interface [UI] controls, navigation models, design trends). Shares learnings and collaborates with other designers to share education for team improvements.  

Communication and Collaboration 

  • Recognizes and communicates the user needs to team members and recommends ideas to create a compelling narrative for the product. Explores new and interesting ways of telling stories (e.g., video illustrations, sound). 
  • Facilitates fundamental tasks on projects with creative team members, program managers, and developers (e.g., the triad/quad) to define and iterate on new and existing product features. Participates on one or more studies at a time and collaborates, creates, and helps the team deliver product design results. Influences team members in support of product design impact. Leverages the work of others. Contributes to the success of others. 
  • Conveys work to peers and managers within their studio team(s) so that the audience understands. Sets context for stakeholders. Helps organize communication with cross-disciplinary teams inside and across through all stages of design and development. Owns communication for what one is doing in a proactive way. Identifies which communication approach should be used. Manages tonality, being respectful, inclusive, etc. Communicates for a project. 

Product Design Leadership

  • Influences both designer and non-designer collaborators. Leads interns and/or vendors to create clarity for others.
