The EngThrive Insights team is responsible for understanding the developer experience. Our mission is to deliver insights that enable Microsoft to be the best place to work as an engineer, where it is fast and easy to do great work.
As a Principal Data Scientist, you will partner closely with engineering and data science teams to drive insights into developer productivity. Your work will span data collection, metric research, dashboard development, and the creation of compelling, end-to-end narratives that illuminate the developer experience.
Success in this position requires a strong passion and intuition for improving the developer experience, and a vision for what an industry leading developer experience can be.

Data Science IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
