Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
  • Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications in CCIE/CCDE/JNCIE or equivalent level experience.
  • Experience with large enterprise network design and operations in a global environment.
  • Experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of network technologies/protocols: VXLAN, BGP EVPN, 802.1x, LACP, MacSec, Encryption, key management, Micro segmentation, ACL, Cloud technologies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advisory function translating business needs into network requirements. Guide customers through product implementation and usage.
  • Provide valuable, expert partnership to both customers and engineering, ensuring GEN's innovation is grounded in real-world business problems and solves validated use cases.
  • Partner with business relationship leads to form a functional team to analyze customer requirements or potential problems, and proactively develop solutions and policy recommendations.
  • Multiply the effectiveness of the team through design reviews, technical mentoring, and career development support. Scale systems sustainably through tools and automation, and evolve systems by driving change that improves reliability and velocity.
  • Lead the development of Google’s enterprise network infrastructure through published engineering design documents and specifications. Lead the requirement analysis, engineering design, and solution development of Google’s enterprise network infrastructure.
