Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with engineering, product management, research, and design teams to drive projects from conception to launch.
  • Experience in project management methodologies and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Experience building relationships and ensuring alignment with leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Experience in the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence project lifecycle, with knowledge in projects involving AI capabilities and agentic systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical data, performance metrics, and results to make informed project decisions.
  • Ability to navigate technical challenges, mitigate risks, and ensure execution of projects.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you’ll lead cross-functional challenges, navigating the ambiguity and changes inherent in AI work and new agentic experiences and the need to balance competing priorities across teams. You will guide collaborative efforts while managing intricate dependencies, technical risks, and resource constraints.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate cross-product area and cross-product group workstreams in agentic experiences, ensuring alignment with broader product and AI integration goals across Platforms and Devices.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to create new and innovative agentic experiences that leverage AI for automation, providing users with predictive and proactive support.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource planning across cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, facilitate frequent executive reviews, and accelerate the adoption of agentive experiences across product teams.
  • Drive the execution of technical roadmaps, aligning projects with the broader AI strategy.
