Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
2 years of experience with Android development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on large-scale distributed systems and data pipelines.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
- Experience with Android development or the Android ecosystem.

In this role, you will own the internal tooling and workflows for Software Development Kit (SDK) remediation, ensuring issues are swiftly addressed and communicated to affected app developers.
You will directly contribute to the program's objectives of reducing app rejections, accelerating critical updates, and enhancing proactive issue detection, embodying the principles of Transparency by Design and Developer Empowerment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Drive the technical goals and strategy for the SDK Behavior Standards and Tooling (BeST) team. Lead the architectural design and evolution of scalable, high-performance systems for capturing, standardizing, and delivering SDK behavior metadata.
- Design and implement cross-platform integrations for critical developer surfaces, such as Android Studio and the SDK Catalog.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration. Guide the development and maintenance of internal tooling and automated workflows for the SDK Safety Program's remediation process, including issue notification, fix tracking, and developer communication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Policy, and Engineering) to deliver solutions that significantly reduce app rejections, accelerate critical updates, and enhance proactive issue detection across the Android ecosystem.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, system design, and operational excellence.
