Senior Software Engineer

Senior • On-site

$119,800 - $234,700/yr

Overview

Are you passionate about containerized applications and cloud-native software development? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! The Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) traffic team builds traffic management solutions for AKS customers. Our product streamlines communication and enhances the reliability of microservices in a cloud-native environment. Our mission is to make networking “just work” for Kubernetes developers—whether they are deploying their first service or operating a complex, multi-tier application across regions.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and scaling critical networking components and features within the AKS platform. This includes traffic routing, load balancing, network observability, ingress and egress control, and integration with Kubernetes-native and Azure-native services. You will work with Kubernetes open-source technologies and contribute to the broader cloud-native ecosystem.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of open source, cloud platform development, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will collaborate with various Azure product teams and the Kubernetes community to shape the future of Kubernetes networking—supporting a large number of Azure customers, including those building the next generation of AI-powered applications.
