Product Manager, Technical Infrastructure Storage

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, 0 to 1, etc).
  • Experience in Cloud storage and the overall public cloud ecosystem including customer requirements, market trends.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 10 years of Product Management experience in defining and developing storage systems with a proven track record in delivering successful products.
  • 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • Understanding of Storage industry and related semiconductor supply chains.
  • Knowledge of SSD and HDD architectures, distributed storage and services, system design tradeoffs, memory and Cloud storage trends.
  • Knowledge of storage devices, appliances and subsystems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Craft a compelling Platform storage product-line goals and long-term roadmap that aligns with market opportunities and company goals. Lead the development of business cases for new product initiatives.
  • Understand customer pain points, use cases, and the engaged landscape in Storage. Conduct market research, engaged analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams to gather actionable insights.
  • Manage the entire product life cycle, from ideation and defining requirements to launch and iteration.
  • Partner closely with Google Product Area engineering and support to define product requirements, create compelling go-to-market strategies, and ensure successful product launches.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success. Analyze data to identify optimization opportunities and inform decision-making.
