Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Experience in one or more of the following: test automation, refactoring code, test-driven development, build infrastructure, optimizing software, debugging, building tools and testing frameworks.
- Experience with Engineering Tools and Infrastructure.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience with Google Distributed Cloud/Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, or Google Kubernetes Engine.
- Experience in infrastructure with broad knowledge across compute, storage and networking.
- Expertise on the networking and lower level of software stack (Kernel).

Google Distributed Cloud air-gapped (GDC-ag) is a fully managed experience for organizations requiring complete isolation to meet stringent sovereignty and regulatory requirements. As a member of the GDC-ag Virtual Environments team, you will contribute to delivery of the google private cloud product, by ensuring GDC-ag development and release workflows have healthy environments that mimic production closely through automation and tooling.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Be able to code and debug, and develop tools for working within various environments. This includes OC rollout/rollback, test execution, resource utilization, result reporting, and health monitoring.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure the quality of operable components are rolled out to the environments.
- Drive the product feature deliverables, customer issue resolution, and virtual environments additional features to match the physical setups.
- Write automation to manage physical environments setup and health.
- Integrate the platform/test environment with CI/CD.
