Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with infrastructure capacity planning and management systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience establishing and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure process health and efficiency gains.
  • Experience managing the end-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) capacity planning and management processes.
  • Experience leading efficiency measurement efforts within the internal customer or partner organization.
  • Knowledge of SQL, comfortable writing scripts and building dashboards.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager in OneFleet, you will drive complex technical projects across products, compute infrastructure, and capacity delivery process and tooling. You will be involved in programs to optimize use of infrastructure resources and build solutions that increase efficiency and maximize return on our invested assets, while improving reliability and obtainability. You will unleash your significant talents in program management, mobilizing cross-functional teams, delivering solutions for scale, and making data-driven decisions to refine and launch solutions that accelerate our customers success. Your passion, technical and business depth, and excellent organizational skills will inspire our team and a set of stakeholders, including engineering, product, finance, site reliability, and customer demand planning.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure demand and capacity planning teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements across the fleet.
  • Enable capacity onboarding for new products.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to translate efficiency goals into executable plans.
  • Track, communicate program status, and present the teams analyses and recommendations to cross-functional internal stakeholders and C-level executives.
