Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts, algorithms, and experience in designing NLP solutions.
  • 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build fast prototypes and collecting feedback to vet product hypotheses.
  • Partner closely with Researchers across Alphabet (Google Research, Google DeepMind) to build edge focused emerging AI capabilities and technologies.
  • Partner closely with Product teams across P&D (Android, Pixel, Wearables, Home, XR) to develop novel user experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with PM, UX, and other (XFN/X-PA) Cross-Functional/Cross-Product Area partners to plan and prioritize projects.
  • Design, develop and launch new product features.
