Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience programming in Objective-C or Swift.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience with iOS application development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- 3 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools or debugging.

You will join the Waze Mobile Technologies team designing and implementing new features on the Waze app that millions of users depend on each day with their drives. You will collaborate with other mobile Engineers, back-end Engineers, UX, Program managers.
In addition, you will play a key role in establishing the new and growing mobile development team in Waze New York to accelerate product development at the site.
The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.
The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Design and implement high impact features for Waze App.
- Experiment with innovative technologies for mobile.
- Help improve user experience for Waze on iOS.
- Collaborate with visual designers, prototypers and product managers.
- Participate in regular design reviews.
