Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in consumer hardware (ideally having shipped a few products from definition to launch) in the capacity of a PM or GM/CEO/Founder.
  • Experience with media, media frameworks, or streaming/linear tv applications.
  • Experience working with executives across various functions and externally.
  • Ability to build relationships, collaborating, and influencing others, especially in Engineering, User Experience (UX).
  • Familiarity with computing and mobile operating systems and Software (SW) application development life cycles.

Through recent launches like Chromecast with Google TV, we bring together the best of Google. Google TV is focused on scaling across the OEM ecosystem; working closely with third-party streaming partners plus many teams across Google (for example: Ads, Play, and YouTube); and building a business on TV platforms, OTT devices, and mobile devices. With millions of active users of our products plus being amidst the quickly evolving media and entertainment industry, there are plenty of opportunities for the team and individuals in it.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work with partner teams (e.g., engineers, PgMs, UX) during product design and development to implement the requirements to turn Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) into Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for one or more teams.
  • Define product roadmaps by operationalizing strategy.
  • Develop and secure buy-in for a product goals that identifies, defines, and supports the overall product narrative and direction, achieving an outcome that is greater than the sum of its parts.
  • Validate the market size and opportunity (e.g., user-based, opportunity, business).
  • Drive launches, maintenance, and retirement in collaboration with other cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
