As a Data Analyst in HRBI’s Analytics & Advisory team, you will partner directly with HR leaders to understand and influence their business and people priorities using data. Your day-to-day work will involve designing, executing, and delivering research and insights using data, visualizations, and compelling storytelling techniques. You’ll apply a wide range of analytical tools and techniques to answer high-impact people-related business questions and translate findings into actionable insights. You’ll be a trusted advisor to HR, collaborating and consulting with partners to drive business results and decisions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

  • Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
    • OR equivalent experience.

 

  • 3+ years experience manipulating data and conducting statistical analyses using SQL, Python, R or similar languages to derive strategic insights that drive executive decision making 

 

  • 2+ years experience in HR/people analytics

 

Data Analytics IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.

Responsibilities

  • HR and data landscape: You will develop a depth of understanding of HR and the business, the evolving data landscape, tools, and technologies, and the lineage of those data across multiple areas. You’ll consider relevant data sources and external trends, anticipate data requirements, and probe for insight to understand business- or data-related topics beyond stated concerns. 
  • Data analysis: You will determine appropriate analytical and statistical techniques (e.g., EDA, hypothesis testing, feature importance) to address business and/or research questions, execute analyses using programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and Microsoft techonologies (e.g., Fabric, PowerBI, Excel), interpret results with actionable recommendations, and partner to build on others' analyses and frameworks. 
  • Executive presentation skills: You will simplify and share technical findings and insights with a diverse group of HR executives, managers, and subject matter experts.  
  • Customer focus and relationship management: You’ll leverage your exceptional advisory and customer focus skills to contract and examine projects through a portfolio-oriented lens, making connections across teams to propel HR’s strategy.  
  • Data privacy and governance: You'll stay abreast of data privacy and security requirements, responsible and ethical data handling and AI practices, and ensure projects have gone through appropriate reviews.
