As an Uber Team Lead for the Engineering Productivity (EngProd) areas (DevX, Quality and Metrics), you will help drive the overarching technical direction, strategy and implementation.

In this role, you will be a part of a team that works at the interaction of infra, AR/VR, and AI, contributing to building a cutting-edge product in an emerging and engaged market while leveraging AI to accelerate developer velocity and product quality.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end technical horizontal architecture and engineering standards for all EngProd deployed by the team, partnering with individual area TLs. Lead technical design reviews and guide the team in mapping complex business requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of senior engineers. Foster a culture of innovation, engineering excellence, rapid iteration, and technical excellence, managing the execution and successful delivery of the team's technical roadmap.
  • Drive new, high-impact initiatives across the EngProd offerings, from conception to scaled implementation.
  • Partner closely with product teams, business stakeholders, and foundational research teams to translate ambiguous business needs into concrete technical specifications and project plans. You will manage the critical feedback loop between business needs and technical capabilities.
  • Act as the executive technical authority for EngProd, pushing the boundaries of what LLM technology can achieve in these domains.
