Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience programming in Java or Kotlin.
  • 3 years of experience designing, building, testing, maintaining, and launching scalable backend services.
  • Experience developing and maintaining services within a large-scale, distributed systems environment.
  • Experience developing and designing APIs (e.g., REST and gRPC).
  • Experience with globally-distributed, relational database systems (e.g., Google Cloud Spanner, CockroachDB).

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in interacting with AI platforms/APIs like Uniserve, Gemini API, LMRoot, or in debugging issues with AI models.
  • Experience coding in C++ or Python.
  • Experience with front-end and user interface development.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Deploy, monitor, and manage services in production, including on-call responsibilities.
  • Develop and prototype the next generation of AI technologies and solutions for new product features, and support their launch in production.
  • Work closely with front-end engineers and research teams to define APIs and apply large language model and multi-modal techniques.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of agentic applications and AI prompting strategies.
