Senior Software Engineer

NVIDIA is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who can lead with vision and technical expertise. This exciting, critical role will give you the opportunity to participate in an open-source project widely embraced by the storage industry. You will be part of Nvidia's storage software team, responsible for exposing ground breaking hardware capabilities to high-performance, scalable, user-mode storage applications. What you will be doing:

• Maintaining and improving SPDK (Storage Performance Development Kit) - https://spdk.io/

• Developing Storage algorithms as AES-XTS and t10dif on ARM platform

• End-to-end responsibility for major features

• Participating in improving our ground breaking technology storage solutions

• Performance improvements

What we need to see:

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 12+ years of experience working as a 5C/C++ software engineer

• 5+ years of experience serving as a core maintainer of an open-source project

• Experience in Linux & Networking

• Leader who adapts quickly to new environments and can guide others on technical projects

• Experience in storage protocols

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience in RDMA - advantage

• Understanding SoC hardware design

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5, and 272,000 USD - 425,500 USD for Level 6.Applications for this job will be accepted at least until October 4, 2025.
