Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
  • Experience in application development in a platform/area (e.g., web, iOS, Android, CompDes, XR).
  • Experience with front-end development including Typescript, CSS, and HTML.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as a front-end developer, UX Engineer, creative or design technologist, or in a prototyping design environment.
  • 5 years of experience developing responsive, adaptive, and performant websites and applications.
  • Experience with the Chrome Tech Stack (e.g., C++, WebUI, and Lit).
  • Ability to translate mocks and wireframes into well-structured and responsive user interfaces.

The Chrome Desktop Search and Infra’s mission is to help users get the information they need with minimal effort. The team builds the infrastructure that powers the omnibox on OS platforms.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$185,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Fulfill several project requests simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Advise, collaborate, and synthesize feedback from UX designers and researchers.
  • Meet high accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and prototype new features that enhance the user experience of Chrome.
  • Write and review code in Chrome's codebase.
