Microsoft Advertising Campaign UI team is the development team responsible for the front end web sites used by online advertisers to create and manage their millions of ad campaigns. This team has very solid focus on customer satisfaction. We are on an ambitious journey to build new generation of Microsoft Ads UI and analytical platform.

As a Software Engineer II in the team, you will develop world class Web UI experience for our demand management platform as well as enable new Ads Product to advertisers. Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
2+ years of expereince in solid CS fundamentals, solid inclination for architecting at scale, with proficient technical design, problem solving and debugging skills.
2+ years of expereince in producing proficient data driven decision making and the ability to build metrics to analyze business impact.

Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of expereince coding with C#, JavaScript, HTML and/or CSS.
2+ years of experience with ReactJS or TypeScript, and modern front end development environment is highly desirable.
2+ years of expereince with data analysis and building metrics to measure business impact.
Collaborative team member and communicator.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
