The BigLake Team's mission is to evolve BigQuery into the world's best data lakehouse platform. Apache Iceberg is rapidly emerging as the de facto table format for the modern lakehouse, allowing many engines to operate on a single copy of data to power interoperable data and AI workloads with high performance and low cost. BigLake builds on the scalable, reliable foundation of BigQuery to provide a lakehouse solution spanning catalog APIs, storage management and grooming, data governance and more.
As a member of the BigLake team, you will be responsible for building the BigLake Iceberg REST catalog and helping its customers succeed.
Your project work will encompass the open-source Apache Iceberg ecosystem and open-source data processing engines such as Apache Spark and Trino.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
