Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • 5 years of experience in people management, with technical leadership.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in the XR industry, including launches and research.
  • Experience developing completely new apps, features, and interfaces.
  • Experience building products with machine-learning, computer vision, and AI features.
  • Experience delivering zero-to-one products and technologies i.e., new technology introduction.
  • Experience developing consumer electronics hardware products.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of Product Managers (PM) that are collectively driving for the entire portfolio of Google apps available on Extended Reality (XR) devices. Your role will include apps and experiences for glasses, headsets, and any device powered by Android XR. You will also be responsible for managing the strategy and execution of all XR apps across Google, centralized around a subset of priority apps that are best suited for XR. Your role is central to the entire Android XR system, as the PM will deliver the core apps that users will leverage to get value out of XR devices and help define the next generation immersive computing platform from Google.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define and advance the product strategy and multi-year roadmap for XR Apps on multiple devices. Drive the frameworks for quality and key performance indicator (KPI) definition that can be used across XR Apps.
  • Collaborate with UX and UX Research teams to define a delightful, functional, and intuitive apps. Collaborate with platform, input, SysUI, and AI teams to ensure support for differentiated XR Apps.
  • Manage the team of Google Apps PM leads that are responsible for XR Apps within core vertical areas.
  • Drive an AI-forward strategy for XR apps that take advantage of conversational, voice-based input and drive the frameworks for quality and KPI definition that can be used across XR Apps.
  • Develop a strategy that can adapt to multiple types of XR devices running apps on Android XR.
