Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience in a product management role focused on engagement growth and retention.
  • Experience launching and managing mobile apps (iOS and/or Android).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 5 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 4 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • Experience with Google Maps and a deep understanding of the product and its users.
  • Experience in a user growth product management role on a major consumer mobile app.

As the Growth team within Geo, we are responsible for growing the active user base on the Google Maps app on iOS and Android, and are accountable for ensuring Google Maps meets its K&I-level growth goals and commitments. Our portfolio of projects span two broad axes: reach (ensuring users have smooth pathways to the Google Maps app) and engagement (helping users achieve task success and develop retentive habits within the app).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product strategy for user retention and engagement on the Google Maps mobile app.
  • Manage validation of market size and opportunity (e.g., user-based, strategic opportunity). 
  • Prioritize and build a roadmap of features and improvements to increase user engagement and drive key metrics.
  • Write clear product requirements and work with engineering and design teams to launch high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive feature adoption and measure success.
