Our technology has no boundaries! NVIDIA is building the world’s most groundbreaking and innovative compute platforms for the world to use. It’s because of our work that scientists, researchers, and engineers can advance their ideas. At its core, our accelerated computing platforms not only enable an outstanding computing experience but is also energy efficient. It’s not just technology though! It is our people, some of the brightest in the world, and our company culture make NVIDIA one of the most fun, innovative, and multifaceted places to work in the world! At the center of NVIDIA's culture are our core values like innovation, excellence, determination, and team, which guide us to be the best we can be.
We are developing accelerated platform and technologies for 6G Radio Access Network (RAN), with a focus on AI for RAN utilizing Machine Learning / Deep Learning techniques to deliver unparalleled performance and spectral efficiency. Additionally, we are exploring new 6G use cases in Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) and Semantic Communications. We are looking for a motivated and energetic senior technologist for the role of 6G Chief Architect as Distinguished Engineer to lead the next generation architecture for 6G.
What you will be doing:
Seek and apply AI/ML approaches into radio access network (RAN) for 6G. Rapid prototyping of new algorithms to establish value proposition and benefits on GPU accelerated platforms.
Work with industry ecosystem and customers to rapidly drive innovations into deployable products and solutions.
Work with the industry standards and consortiums - AI-RAN, O-RAN and 3GPP - for a transformational approach to 6G with AI Native approaches.
Work on new use cases for 6G such as Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC), Semantic Communications and more.
Drive system architecture, requirements, design, development, and performance optimizations for AI-for-RAN software stack.
Identify, pathfind, and drive new acceleration technologies into next generation NVIDIA hardware.
What we need to see:
MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
20+ years of proven industry experience.
Deep technical knowledge of communication systems, communication theory, linear algebra, detection and estimation theory, baseband signal processing algorithms, and channel coding.
Expertise in architecting and developing RAN applications and proven expertise in system level optimizations. Proven experience in 5G NR PHY/L1 and L2 mac-scheduler algorithms design and development.
Proven experience in applying AI techniques into RAN (L1, L2+) pipelines.
Solid foundation in statistical analysis.
Strong understanding of mathematics behind RAN algorithms.
Strong hands-on experience on programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Matlab
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
A strong body of work at the intersection of AI, Cloud and Wireless technologies.
Strong exposure to wireless standardization and associated industry consortiums.
Demonstrated success in leading impactful innovations and converting them to commercial products.
Proven ability to excel in a fast paced and collaborative environment.
