Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in product, engineering, operations, or technical consulting roles.
  • Experience in cloud computing emerging technologies or a related technical field.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in a software program management role in cloud computing.
  • 7 years of experience managing large, cross-functional programs spanning technical and non-technical members.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience executing product launch or go-to-market processes and launch execution.
  • Experience in large-scale distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with ML/AI and differentiation of AI model building versus traditional software builds.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You will plan requirements with internal customers and user projects through the entire project life-cycle. You will manage project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You will be equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. You will use your extensive technical and leadership expertise, and will manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive mission critical horizontal programs across multiple products including quality/reliability codes and customer incubation.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and cross-functional groups to drive software development, and manage technical dependencies across the stack.
  • Define, iterate, and operationalize key metrics that will help us achieve our product goals and allow the team to prioritize efforts.
  • Program manages a collection of technical programs, drives a multi-quarter roadmap, and communicates to a complex web of executive stakeholders.
  • Drive alignment across teams/organizations/Program Areas to reach consensus on product direction, north-star metrics, engineering feasibility, etc.
