Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in either front-end (e.g., Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS or similar) or back-end development (Go or another programming language).
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, Spanner, etc.).
  • Experience with Google Cloud application development (e.g., Cloud Run, App Engine, Object Storage, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Security features (VPC, IAM, Chronicle, etc.).
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar third-party applications.
  • Familiarity with Google development ecosystem (e.g., Piper, Cider, Critique, Overground, etc.).
  • Ability to focus on user needs, and good intuition on how to seamlessly handle change in a large organization (in collaboration with key stakeholders).
  • Ability to learn the Golang programming language.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain concepts to a broader audience.

The Cloud Demo Platform (CDP) team is responsible for ensuring that technical sellers have the appropriate systems they need to demonstrate the value of Google Cloud to customers. We have several internally developed systems that we develop and operate, including go/argolis, go/demos, enterprise trials and a hosted version of Gitlab. We are a team oriented group that is passionate about our platform and the quality of our work. We utilize Critical User Journeys (CUJs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to ensure that we are prioritizing our work correctly with maximum benefit to our customers.

As a member of the CDP team in the Engineering Excellence group, you will have the opportunity to shape the tools that help Cloud technical sellers (including Partners) demonstrate the value of Google Cloud. The core functionalities are used by thousands of googlers daily. We look to build more advanced features to better support Cloud Sales business objectives and keep them secure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $123,000-$176,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build applications that help technical sellers interface with customers, either through provisioning cloud environments or organizing content.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, UX, and Engineering roles to design and develop applications.
  • Contribute to and develop features based on the product roadmap.
  • Interface with internal groups (e.g. OCISO).
  • Work with a team of engineers in day-to-day activities and driving launches.
