Director, Technical Program Management, Core Data

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience in technical program management, engineering management, or related technical roles.
• Experience in driving program reviews, building schedules cross-functionally, and managing program milestones.
• Experience working with organizations and implementing programs or initiatives across multiple product areas.
• Experience building and leading technical program management teams.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics) or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience managing an organization through significant change and transformation.
• Experience with regulatory and compliance landscapes associated with global products (e.g., Privacy, Security).
• Expertise with highly scalable distributed systems, data, and concurrency.
• Deep understanding of data and analytics products and technologies.
• Familiarity with Google's application needs for data and AI infrastructure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$383,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a high-performing team of Technical Program Managers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and belonging.
• Drive the strategic outlook and roadmap for Core Data programs, defining and leading strategic and operational initiatives.
• Serve as key thought partner to senior leadership: VPs, Directors, and Product and Engineering leads, influencing decisions and driving alignment on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
• Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Product, Customer, Finance) to drive regulatory, compliance, and technical programs from requirements through launch.
• Leverage the power of AI to transform the technical program management discipline itself, developing new methodologies and tools that enhance efficiency, predictability, and impact for your team and our partners.
