Minimum qualifications:

Experience with network protocols and diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer hardware and server hardware.
Experience with assembly of mechanical or electrical systems, or performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on technical equipment.
Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment and ability to exert yourself physically over extended periods of time, including frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and lifting.
Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with Polygraph.

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience collaborating and partnering with teams.
Experience with networking protocols and with performing component-level repairs on IT equipment.

About the job

In this role, you will enable a new and innovative service line within Google Cloud by providing both remote and on-site support for the deployment of new cloud capacity and technologies. You will maintain a strong customer focus and meticulous attention to detail to uphold clearly defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs). You will also contribute to their enhancement through continuous improvement feedback. This role requires you to navigate a high degree of ambiguity while directly supporting an upcoming program.

This position requires that the candidate selected be eligible to obtain, or currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate will obtain a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform GPS work. Failure to maintain (or obtain, if applicable) the appropriate U.S. Government clearance or customer screening requirements that results in the employee unable to perform the requirements of the role, may result in employment action up to and including termination

This role will require up to 50% travel. You must have the ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $87,000-$125,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Understand and support capacity deployment, including build milestones and timelines.
Install and configure hardware, including servers, networking equipment and cooling infrastructure.
Execute hardware maintenance, including part replacement and cable installation, following defined processes.
Utilize software tools for job functions, including inventory management and OS configuration/troubleshooting.
Develop and enhance documentation for new platforms and support activities.
