Engineering Analyst, Gemini and Labs, Trust and Safety

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
  
• 5 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working on novel AI risks and threat actors engaging in cyber misuse, societal harms, weaponization, etc.
• Experience working with the technical and policy challenges of AI systems.
• Experience with using statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis and prototyping.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and attention to detail in a changing environment.
• Passion for innovation, technology, and Google products.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Analyze and solve problems using data and statistical methods.
  
• Identify and prevent fraud and abuse.
• Improve tools and automated systems through data analysis and technical expertise, and present to stakeholders.
  
• Review or be exposed to sensitive or violative content as part of the core role.
• Perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis, including weekend coverage/holidays.
