As a Sponsorship Enablement Manager you will own the operational excellence and delivery of our Global Sponsorship Program with a focus on our Summit, Field, and Industry event programs. You will support the management of a multi-million-dollar portfolio of sponsorships for our learning events that engage our customers and drive our business growth. You will be responsible for end-to-end sponsorship enablement strategy, execution, benefits delivery, and financial management while serving as the technical and operational backbone for our sponsorship program and community of partners.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Oversight & Package Management:
• Serve as subject matter expert to Sponsorship Program Managers for best practices on sponsorship program execution and enablement
• Work with 3rd party event agencies, guiding them to ensure timely delivery of sponsorship program deliverables
• Partner with agencies on discovery, ideation, and pricing strategies for sponsorship offerings based on the cost to execute
• Drive floorplan strategy in partnership with Global Events team
• Serve as a primary sponsor enablement contact as it pertains to managing the sponsorship support alias, ensuring a high bar for sponsor communications
• Contribute to the development of project plans and help in managing all deliverables and timelines associated with sponsorship.
Program Execution Delivery & Operational Excellence:
• Own end-to-end post-sale operational execution, including comprehensive project management oversight
Lead operational execution of all sponsor benefits, including:
• Booth builds and selection processes
• Sponsor pavilions and access management
• Tool benefits implementation
• Deliverable execution and tracking
• Create and implement scalable processes for tracking and reporting workback schedules
• Drive onsite preparation and execution across all sponsored elements
• Serve as primary sponsorship Enablement stakeholder in strategic planning meetings
Financial Management & Reporting:
• Own sponsorship budget reporting and reconciliation with agency partners
• Own pre-event invoicing management and post-event reconciliation / collections in coordination with accounts receivable
• Develop and maintain comprehensive tracking mechanisms for all operational program elements
• Create and deliver regular progress reports to account management stakeholders
Stakeholder & Agency Management:
• Partner with internal stakeholders to conduct discovery and implementation of sponsor benefits
• Oversee agency execution across multiple workstreams including:
• Project management and timeline adherence
• Booth construction and sponsor pavilion management
• Content submissions
• Partner with central Sponsorship Operations Enablement team associated with Exhibitor Resource Center construction, tool management, and lead reporting
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal teams and external partners
• Sales and Revenue Support
• Establishes inventory tracking mechanisms for all sponsorship benefits and owns inventory reconciliation.
• Reports inventory updates to sales and Enablement team
• Supports sponsorship program managers in detailing benefits delivery
Communications and Enablement:
• Own overall alias management and escalations. Ensure alias SLAs are being met by agency team and support with tooling optimization
• Review weekly communications and enablement materials including documentation (webinar decks, KBYGs, etc) sent to sponsors
• Build a calendar of resource hub articles to support sponsor enablement and assigns ownerships to key contributors

About the team
Part of AWS Marketing – Global Brand Partnerships, the Global Sponsorship Program creates strategic, ROI generating sponsorship opportunities for AWS Partners and customers. Our program is designed to support companies in growing their business with AWS and our customers. Sponsorship opportunities are offered globally across a variety of marketing programs. The Global Sponsorship program is designed to 1/engage customers with quality sponsor developed content, education, and networking; 2/deliver partner shared leads and ROI to sponsors; 3/optimize revenue cost recovery for AWS Marketing; and 4/execute a sponsorship program aligned to AWS business priorities. We design sponsorship programs with equal focus on our four goals. AWS Marketing events with sponsorship programs include re:Invent, re:Inforce, Commercial and Public Sector Summits, industry events, third-party programs, executive marketing events, and field programs.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience leading complex, technical initiatives
- Demonstrated experience managing agency relationships and large-scale event enablement and operations
- Strong track record of financial management and budget reconciliation
- Experience creating and implementing operational processes at scale
- Experience managing large-scale trade show or conference operations
- MBA or relevant advanced degree
- 5+ years of experience in marketing enablement, event management, or similar technical program management roles
- Industry certifications (PMP, CEM, or equivalent)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
