Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of product management experience delivering products and solutions.
  • 10 years of experience collaborating within organizations and leading cross-functional teams, even without direct authority, to drive consensus.
  • 10 years of experience leading the development of developer tools throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • 5 years of experience in leveraging AI/ML technologies to solve real-world problems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and related technologies.
  • Experience in building and launching developer-focused products.
  • Experience in a research-driven environment and influencing senior leaders (VP+).
  • Exceptional communication, people and influencing skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Product Manager to join Core Developer. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of software development at Google by driving the strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the entire SDLC. You will be at the forefront of innovation, working with executives in Core and collaborating with key partners, including Google DeepMind (GDM), to define and deliver impactful AI-powered solutions.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$383,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive AI research roadmap, translating complex AI advancements into concrete product opportunities and driving cross-functional alignment on AI-driven SDLC transformation initiatives.
  • Define and articulate a clear product vision for integrating AI into the SDLC, developing and maintaining a prioritized roadmap, and utilizing market insights to drive innovation in developer tools.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with executives and senior leaders across various organizations, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to influence and drive alignment on AI product initiatives.
  • Identify, incubate, and prototype high-risk, high-reward AI-driven SDLC improvements, validating new ideas and recommending investment strategies.
  • Mentor other product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and establishing best practices in AI product management.
