We're seeking a data-driven media professional to lead our global taxonomy framework within Amazon's Cross Channel Marketing (XCM) division. As the single-threaded owner of XCM Global Taxonomy, you'll develop and maintain the data spine that connects our media measurement and reporting systems across platforms.
In this role, you'll govern XCM global naming conventions in systems and platforms for television, radio, digital, and social media data, ensuring consistency across campaign, placement, and creative levels. Your work will directly impact how we merge first-party and third-party measurement data, enabling richer insights for optimization.
Key job responsibilities
Your daily responsibilities will include monitoring taxonomy health, reviewing creative classifications with 3P measurement partners, and collaborating with global media teams to anticipate and address emerging needs. You'll work closely with agencies, internal activation teams, and product teams to maintain data integrity and streamline reporting processes.
A day in the life
Core duties include managing global naming conventions enhancements, identifying and resolving taxonomy errors, creating global standards documentation, developing standardized creative classifications, and onboarding Japan agency to our taxonomy standards. You'll facilitate bi-weekly agency meetings, review investment team classifications, and partner with media teams worldwide to adopt taxonomies as needed.
About the team
Data Operations within Amazon XCM team includes managing data quality for agency and in house media for campaigns, measurement strategies and partners with product management for tools designed to provide campaign insights.
- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns
- Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
- 4+ Years experience in activation teams managing campaigns in digital and social platforms, leveraging taxonomy
- Experience in multi-territory campaign management
- Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process
- 4+ years on agency activation or marketing science teams strongly versed in taxonomy tools and structure

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
