Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience applying AI/ML algorithms to analyze use case activity data using Python, C++, and/or TensorFlow.
  • Experience on power/performance management algorithms of Android systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experiences on SOC problem identification, analysis, creative solutions, and project impacts.
  • Experience with performance analysis and profiling for system-on-chip (SoC) architectures using hardware performance counters (PMUs).
  • Experience with Software coding to interpret and modify current power management algorithms (C/C++, Linux, Python, TensorFlow).
  • Knowledge of AI/ML models such as LLM (Large Language Model), image generation.

In this role, you will identify optimization opportunities in mobile processor, driver, Android operating system, and Google application software and will assist in the invention, prototyping, and product breakthrough solutions for energy efficiency improvement. Your role will also analyze and improve the power and performance of AI (artificial intelligence) and ML (machine learning) use cases.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Implement software prototypes (codes) for AI energy efficiency (e.g., Generative AI, Large Language Model, Multi-modal, Text-to-Image, and Image Enhancement).
  • Manage DVFS (Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling) software development for future GenAI use cases.
  • Explore energy efficient AI processing on mobile processors. 
  • Analyze hardware/software profile data to identify energy/performance inefficiency areas for future AI use cases.
  • Evaluate and debug the proposed solution in silicon and devices.
