Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in Java, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 1 year of experience with data management, data integration, data domain, system integration, distributed databases, SQL pipelines, SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience with transactional system and different type of data processing systems.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Familiarity with scalable API and schema design, and development for large-scale distributed systems.

Our team is responsible for the domain storage and API (billing account, Tax center, legal document, Alert, etc.) to allow small and large customers to purchase Google products easily.

As an engineer in the PayID Core team you will be part of designing the next generation of payments at Google. You will model the real world identity through API design and schema design. You will automate the customer on-boarding process for different products - ads, cloud, play, etc. You will understand different Google products and businesses and model it in a simple, scalable, future proof way. You will work with cross-functional team to build new features that enable new businesses for Google.Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Model the real world identity through API design and schema design.
