Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in designing and optimizing data centers, with a focus on machine learning systems.
  • Experience with cost and performance modeling for data center infrastructure.
  • Experience in defining rack interconnects, cable tray routing, and development of cable tray and telecom network within a data center.
  • Experience in data center infrastructure, including power, networking, storage, and cooling systems.
  • Experience in general network and telecom design in a data center and with industry standards and guidelines (e.g. TIA).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, relevant field, or engineering license.
  • Experience in estimating, mechanical design, operation, and commissioning of mission critical data center mechanical equipment.
  • Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of mechanical cooling plants, fire suppression systems, fuel oil systems, domestic water systems, and sanitary sewer systems in mission critical facility design and construction environment.
  • Experience designing complex modular building scale assemblies, and understanding of mechanical tolerances and tolerance analysis.
  • Operational knowledge of construction safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering and design principles with expertise in design for medium-scale production, structural beams/elements, and international building codes.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Architect and optimize data centers for large-scale AI/ML deployments.
  • Develop requirements for new data center design network architecture and telecom. Lead development of network layout, routing within data center building, campus, and integration of network within different subsystems and program areas of the data center.
  • Identify and implement solutions to accelerate project timelines and reduce infrastructure costs while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and influence industry trends to ensure our data centers are aligned with the latest ML advancements.
  • Partner with internal teams and hardware vendors to troubleshoot performance issues, influence product roadmaps, and integrate cutting-edge AI solutions.
